Burt Boutin: An Amazing Champion of the Annual World Series of Poker
From his hometown in the City of Henderson in Nevada, Burt Boutin has become one of the most amazing champions of the Annual World Series of Poker. Currently, he owns a couple of WSOP championship bracelets to go with 12 money finishes and career earnings of $1,295,384. With all these outstanding achievements, he was able to make an excellent transition from a stockbroker into a highly successful professional poker player, thus making him one of the most reputable individuals in the game.
Generally, Boutin's career under the Annual World Series of Poker was truly a very impressive one. From his debut season in 2001, he made an immediate impact on the competition by winning the $2,000 Pot-Limit Holdem event of the 32nd Annual WSOP. This key victory gave him his very first WSOP championship bracelet, as well as an amazing cash prize of $193,800. During that same season, he also competed in the $3,000 No-Limit Holdem Event 22, which he finished at 15th place for the prize amounting to $11,115. From then on, things were looking great for Boutin, as he played tremendously well in one Annual World Series of Poker event after another.
In the 2004 season, Boutin played in the $10,000 No-Limit Holdem World Championship of the 35th Annual World Series of Poker, where he finished at 90th place for a considerable prize of $20,000. In the meantime, he joined a couple of events in the 2005 season, particularly the $1,500 No-Limit Holdem Event 2 and the $5,000 Pot-Limit Holdem tournament, which he finished at 11th place for $34,900 and ninth place for $22,465 respectively. In 2006, he played in two events including the $1,500 Pot-Limit Holdem event, where he placed fifth overall for $60,169 and the $2,000 No-Limit Holdem, where he finished 83rd overall for $4,311.
In 2007, Boutin had another stellar year as he played in four super exciting poker tournaments under the 38th Annual World Series of Poker. At the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha with Rebuys event, he scored the jackpot as he topped the event for his second WSOP championship bracelet. At the same time, he also won the grand pot amounting to a hefty sum of $868,745. He also played at the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha where he placed 22nd overall for $5,504, the $1,500 No-Limit Holdem Event 21 where he ended with 82nd place for $5,214, and the $1,500 No-Limit Holdem Event 38 where he finished at 21st place for $21,993.
In 2008, Boutin only saw action in one particular event for the 39th Annual World Series of Poker. At the $5,000 No-Limit Holdem Shootout event, he played excellently en route to a 20th place finish, which earned him $16,920. Based on these astonishing performances, Boutin is truly one of the most amazing champions and highly outstanding players that the WSOP has ever witnessed.
